After breakfast we make make the trip to the Giraffe Center to learn about the world’s tallest terrestrial animal and to see these wonderful creatures up close and, if you so choose, to feed them by hand!

After the Giraffe Center, visit the Karen Blixen Museum – a home once lived in by Karen – and made famous in the film “Out of Africa” featuring Meryl Streep and Robert Redford (consider watching the movie before setting out on your trip).

After exploring this landmark, head to Kobe Beads. An all-woman craft workshop renowned for making handmade ceramic jewelry and pottery. KOBE is the Swahili word for the Africa Sea Turtle - a beautiful sea creature with a hard external shell. Kobe products support single mothers, orphans and widows in Kenya. They work to upskill the artistic skills of these women providing them an opportunity to earn a fair wage for their art.

Enjoy game viewing in Laikipia private reserve with our skilled guide. You can stop for a visit at the chimp sanctuary. Drives are typically done in the morning at 6:30am for a few hours, and 3pm for a few hours, since the animals are most active at dawn and dusk.

Enjoy afternoon game viewing in and around the Laikipia region. The area has more endangered mammals within its borders than any other area in East Africa. Half of Kenya's black rhino resides here, along with other endangered and northern species: Northern white rhino, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe and silver backed jackal.

On the final day, we will leave Masai Mara after a hearty breakfast and take a circuitous route back to the airstrip for our mid-morning flight back to Wilson. Should you be travelling home instead of Diani, we will get you to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport, via an Airport Hotel day room if you need a place to relax before a late evening flight.
